“TRANSMISSION”, a collaborative triptych and digital collage series by Edward Lobo and Ethel Tawe. The works explore African traditions of hair-dressing across time and space. From the Himba, to Zulu, and Swahili people, hair has brought physical and spiritual proximity, and facilitated intergenerational knowledge transmission across Africa and the diaspora.

The series premiered at the 'African Ancient Futures' exhibition, at Whitespace Gallery, Lagos, Nigeria. Transmission I (Zulu) has also been exhibited on billboards across London, UK in the walking exhibition 'Reclaim Space' curated by flat 70 and JCDecaux.
